The Sunset Succulent Society was founded in Santa Monica, California in 1961

As the only Cactus & Succulent club in Los Angeles south of Mulholland Drive, Sunset draws most of its membership from the west side of Los Angeles and such cities as Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, and Culver City. Other members come from the San Fernando Valley, the South Bay, and throughout the greater Los Angeles area.

Of course, all succulent enthusiasts are welcome.
